Job overview
Berkshire Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Administrator to join their Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatient team based at 57-59 Bath Road, Reading. This is a 37.5 hour a week role.
We are looking for candidates with excellent customer service skills who would enjoy working within a dynamic and friendly team. The successful candidate will need to have excellent communications skills, be organised and flexible, be able to demonstrate their ability to work on their own as well as work in collaboration with others. They will be responsible for the management of patient referrals and appointments whilst creating an efficient and compassionate environment for our patient’s.
The role will involve both patient facing and data inputting aspects and is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their administrative skills.
Main duties of the job
- Take responsibility for digital referral management and new patient bookings
- Liaise with necessary services to support and assist patients as needed, such as patient transport and interpreting services.
- Be the first point of contact for welcoming patients and visitors attending the physiotherapy outpatient department
- Collect data and statistics to assist management in guiding the service direction.
- Work flexibly in response to the needs of the patients, service and physiotherapists.
- Supporting colleagues to deliver a high quality, effective and compassionate service both virtually and in person.

Education/Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
- NVQ3 or equivalent qualification/experience
- Basic knowledge of administration and/or office procedures
- Previous knowledge and experience of working in an office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of administrative duties, including minute-taking
- Knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes/packages
