West London NHS Trust  provides a full range of mental health, community  and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.

We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

An exciting and unique opportunity has surfaced for a Band 3 Health Care Facilitator to support the Physical Health team at Broadmoor Psychiatric Hospital. The team are extremely supportive and passionate about delivering excellent physical healthcare for both long term and acute problems. This includes a venepuncture service for clozapine monitoring.  

The post holder must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide high standards of patient care. 

The hours of service are currently 08:00 – 16:00h Mon-Fri, but there is a possibility of change to a 7 day service 8-8.  Long days will be considered to accommodate a flexible working agreement.

Broadmoor Hospital is at the forefront of forensic mental health nursing and forms part of the West London NHS Trust. It is one of only three High Secure Hospitals in England and Wales. Broadmoor Hospital is a stimulating, challenging and rewarding place to work, both clinically and culturally.

We can offer a fully supportive environment where the development of our staff is paramount. Facilitation of training, in-house, mandatory & University based. The opportunity to have monthly clinical supervision and to participate in regular forum meetings designed to improve both the patient and staff experience.

We are looking for a positive, proactive and enthusiastic person to work across both chronic disease management and urgent care to supporting the team with delivering venepuncture often in challenging circumstances or environments. They will also to deliver health promotion to our patients and facilitate specialist consultant and nurse led clinics. They will be required to undertake recording of NEWS2 observations and ECG’s.

Experience
