Registered Dental Nurse required for Oral Surgery clinic.
As a Registered nurse you will be responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.
As a Centre of excellence, you will offer a person centred approach to their independence and well-being.

Registered Dental Nurse required for busy Oral Surgery clinic.
The applicant must have an in-depth knowledge of cross infection procedures.
Knowledge of all specialist dental procedures is essential as are good communication skills.
The post holder will carry out chairside assistance to all grades of staff and students working within the dental hospital.
It is essential that the post holder has knowledge of all specialist dental procedures and can work as part of a team or independently.
You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
As well as being responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking and administration.
Compliance with our clinical governance framework is essential as we strive to provide continuous improvement.

• Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria
• Northern Genetics Service
• Cramlington Manor Walks
These include a range of flagship services which deliver cutting-edge care (supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic services in both radiology and pathology) and are a catalyst for innovation to support pioneering clinical practice in the NHS.

Swydd ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl
• To provide chair-side assistance (including patients being treated under General Anaesthetic) to all grades of dental staff and students working within the dental hospital.
• To prepare all instruments, equipment and materials required for treatment.
• To provide care and support for patients undergoing a variety of treatments.
• To provide pre and post operative instructions and advice, so maintaining a high standard of patient care at all times.
• To ensure patient confidentiality is always upheld.
• To provide administrative assistance with regard to liaising with patients and other external agencies.
• To provide clinical supervision and practical training to student dental nurses and other less experienced staff on a daily basis.
· To ensure that cross infection control, the cleanliness of the department, stock levels and equipment are well maintained.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month’s pay.
