We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Research Practitioner/Research Nurse to join an established clinical research unit, based at Hammersmith Hospital. The post holder will be working in non-malignant haematology research on a range of interventional and non-interventional studies.
The successful applicant will play an integral role in the delivery of high quality research within the non-malignant haematology. You will be required to work collaboratively with the clinical and wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of your own caseload. You will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of clinical trials whereby they can make a valued contribution in assessing and managing the care pathways for patients participating in research.
The post requires excellent communication skills, a sound understanding of complex scientific protocols, and the ability to work autonomously. A mature attitude, leadership skills and the ability to use initiative, and prior NHS experience are essential attributes for this role.
The post holder will ensure that any research undertaken safeguards the well-being of research participants and is conducted to ICH Good Clinical Practice.

- Be a key role in the delivery of the operational aspects of non-malignant haematology research trials.
- Provide expertise to ensure the timely delivery of the growing portfolio of studies undertaken within Imperial while ensuring the needs of patient care are at the centre of delivery.
- Supports the aims of the Trust to improve the speed, quality, and integration of clinical research, through the successful delivery of clinical research in the NHS.
- Support the delivery and development of the research portfolio through identification of suitable participants, co-ordination, recruitment, performance and maintenance of study documentation.
- Sufficient skills to enable patients to make informed choices concerning their involvement in the clinical trials by providing advice, information, and acting as the patients advocate.
- Sound organisation and interpersonal skills, and will be able to plan, manage and prioritise their own work demands while working collaboratively within a wider multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure that any research undertaken safeguards the well-being of research participants and is conducted to ICH Good Clinical Practice.
