We at the Cornwall Foundation Trust are looking for motivated and enthusiastic General Service's Assistant's to join our Flexi team, we can offer work in our Community Hospitals or Mental Health Inpatient Wards across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
As a GSA you are an integral part of the team and tasked with various duties including deep cleaning and housekeeping, food preparation and delivery. You will be working within a team but the ability to work alone is beneficial.
We have GSA roles available in all areas across the County and offer flexible working hours so you can pick and choose your shifts as they become available.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the post is:
To provide a complete level of ancillary service to the Clinical Unit/Ward Manager. This is a key post, vital to maintaining the Organisation’s hygiene and control of infections

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increase the numbers of people who use out services.

Person specification
Education and Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of preparing and serving meals for a range of clients with different dietary requirements
- Good basic level of ability in Maths and English
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 2 equivalent qualification/experience
- Experience of working in a care setting 2
Skills and Aptitude
Essential criteria
- Able to carry out cleaning tasks to a high standard
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT Skills
