We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Photographer to join Barking Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. 
The Medical Photography and Illustration service is an evolving service that is rapidly growing to meet the changing needs of its patients and clinicians.
 
The Trust comprises of two main Hospitals: Queen’s Hospital and King George Hospital. Medical Photography is required at both sites, requiring skill and expertise in different specialties including (but not limited to) orthodontics, paediatrics, dermatology, including Teledermatology clinics. The Medical Photographer will assist in the provision of a comprehensive clinical and non-clinical photographic service to all areas within the Trust and to external clients, ensuring all work is produced to the highest possible standards within budget constraints and in the time allowed.  
 
The candidate will be expected to produce high quality images using advanced technical skills in digital processing, ensuring the image is produced accurately and with no alteration to the subject.

We operate from two main sites - King George Hospital (KGH) in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London – more than 300,000 people visited our A&Es in 2023.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.

We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
