Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

As  Cardiographer you will be patient facing, performing 12 Lead ECG’s on adult and paediatric patients, fitting and removing ambulatory ECG monitors and Blood Pressure monitors and uploading data in preparation for analysis. The role also includes assisting in Exercise Tolerance Testing alongside a Cardiac Physiologist.

Swydd-ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

As a Cardiographer you will be required to work as a competent practitioner within the Cardiology Department. Duties will include performing all non-invasive cardiac investigations. Applicants should be able to work as a Cardiographer carrying out procedures without supervision. The post holder ideally should have sound knowledge and skills in order to practice across a range of sub-specialties. They will be expected to work towards ECG interpretation and to assist with exercise tolerance testing. The role also involves general administration, quality assurance and H&S requirements. The applicant will be required to participate in training and supervision of the junior Cardiographers and students.

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

  • SCST Part I or equivalent
  • Basic life support

Knowledge

  • Experience in a health care setting
  • Demonstrable knowledge in the full range of skills within technical cardiology. Some experience and competence maintained in noninvasive procedures e.g. assisting in exercise tolerance testing, ECG rhythm management, and ambulatory ECG and BP fitting, etc.
  • Flexible in working practice
  • Good team worker. Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Able to priorities and manage personal workload.

  • Advanced computer skills
  • High level of co-ordination and manual dexterity
  • Basic knowledge of appropriate general cardiac conditions and their management
