Job overview
Blackpool Community Mental Health Team is seeking to appoint a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse. This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking and enthusiastic individual to develop and implement safe, sound and supportive services that embrace the provision of holistic care.
With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working, you will need to be an innovative thinker and be able to form effective relationships.
You will also need to have a working knowledge of the), risk assessment and management, and the ability to explore issues relating to the impact of health and social needs on mental health and well-being.

- Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Developed clinical and managerial skills
- Knowledge of common and complex mental health problems and medication used in relation to these
- Demonstrate understanding of how research has influenced practice
Experience
Essential criteria
- Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of assessing, planning and implementing and reviewing care needs
- Experienced in acting as a mentor/assessor of student staff
