To provide comprehensive reception and clerical support for the North Wales Adolescent Service demonstrating a courteous, professional and sensitive manner at all times.
The post-holder is expected to prioritise, manage their time and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility. By the nature of the duties, the Receptionist will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, relatives and visitors with courtesy and discretion. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive Reception and associated administrative service for NWAS, demonstrating a courteous, professional and sensitive approach at all times.
The post-holder is expected to prioritise, manage their time and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility. Maintaining records both manually and on computerised systems. Handling sensitive and confidential information, i.e., admission information, patient records. The post holder will consistently deliver a client focussed service promoting good customer service and effective working relationships. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good standard of Education in English and Maths
- Clear understanding of the meaning of Confidentiality
- Communicate well in written and spoken English and Welsh
Desirable criteria
- NVQ2 Admin / Customer Care
- Typing RSA1 or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an administrative/office environment
Desirable criteria
- Experience in all office procedures within an NHS environment
Skills and Attributes
Essential criteria
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Word and Outlook
- Able to work to deadlines
- Able to communicate effectively with all staff groups, clients and their families
Desirable criteria
- Experience in copy typing
- Able to demonstrate experience in all aspects of Microsoft Office including Excel
Applicant requirements
