Job overview

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT UNTIL 31ST MARCH 2025 DUE TO MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

Working as part of a growing Cyber Security and Compliance team, the post holder will;

· Provide leadership in relation to day-to-day Cyber Security Operations including oversight of a full suite of technical controls and ensuring that incidents are identified, investigated and remediated within a timely manner.

· Develop Technical capability within the team in terms of Advanced Threat Protection, SIEM, Mail Filtering; mentoring, coaching and developing other members of the Cyber Security and Compliance Team.

· Oversee the development of technical Security Operations procedures including Vulnerability Management and Threat Hunting

· Lead on the development of SOC capability including dashboards providing central oversight of technical security controls.

· Own the development of a Cyber Security Awareness programme including Cyber Security Roadshows, Bulletins, Phishing Exercises.

· Lead on technical investigation of Cyber Security incidents, intelligence gathering, identification of Indicators of Compromise and maintaining relationships with appropriate bodes including NCSC.

· Horizon scanning – advise the organisation on innovation and developments in the Cyber Security industry.

· Advise on practical and proportionate controls which mitigate Cyber Security risks while supporting the achievement of organisational goals.

Main duties of the job

· Contribute to national and local ICT projects, providing expert, technical advice on Cyber Security risks.

· Posses expert knowledge of Antivirus, Malware, SIEM, Firewall, IPS, Patch Management.

· Provide leadership and ownership in the delivery of Cyber Security Operations projects

Upon appointment the successful candidates will be allocated to Ysbyty Maelor Wrexham Hospital, Ysbyty Abergele Hospital or Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital Bangor as their main base, depending on their home address. There is an expectation that the successful candidates will have the ability to travel across the North Wales region as required by the needs of the organisation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
