The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable.
Job overview
Applications are invited for the post of Domestic Services Assistant - Audit, to work 15 hours per week on rota at Ysbyty Gwynedd (working 08.00am – 16.00pm).
Main duties of the job
Responsible for carrying out cleanliness audits of healthcare premises to the standard laid down in the National Standards for Cleanliness in Wales 2003, and the Health Boards Cleaning Responsibility Framework (CRF). This will include wards, clinical areas, departments, offices and public areas.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- NVQ Level 2 In Cleaning Services
- Knowledge of COSHH
Experience
Essential criteria
- Able to use basic technology e.g. PC, Tablet, ipad
- Understanding of spreadsheets e.g. Excel
Desirable criteria
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of working as a domestic assistant
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
