Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a  Clerical Services Co-ordinator within the Emergency Quadrant, based at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. 

The Clerical Services Coordinator will be responsible for the provision of operational and day to day management of clerical and administration services across the Emergency Quadrant, working closely with the Lead Manager.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide day to day operational management of the administration and clerical staff within the Division.   

The Clerical Services co-ordinator will support the Emergency Quadrant Management Team in ensuring sound administrative processes are in place to support the Directorate clinical teams in achieving operational objectives in an efficient and effective way.

Excellent written and communication skills together with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines are essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
  • Degree level Management or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuous ongoing learning
  • Good standard of general / higher education (Certificate Level)
  • GCSE standard in English and Maths
Desirable criteria
  • Professional Management Qualification
  • Currently pursuing a qualification in NHS Management

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience of staff management
  • Previous experience of managing financial resources
  • Sound knowledge of IT system
  • Knowledge of waiting list management
  • Previous experience in producing written reports
  • Experience of handling complex/sensitive complaint or situations/ issues
  • Able to communicate with all levels of staff representatives and managers in a clear and confident manager
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Experience of project work
  • Management of databases
