Job overview

The opportunity has arisen to join the friendly and established team on Ward 1 Care of the Elderly at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital.

Ward 1 is a busy 24 bedded dynamic and fast paced Care of the Elderly ward who is passionate about delivering high quality patient care.  The nursing team are proactive, innovative and have a wealth of knowledge in this specialist area.  The ward in collaboration with medical colleagues of whom have a wealth of experience in this field supports all acute medical care needs of our patients.  A team working approach is adopted to ensure both safe practice, individualised care and a positive patient experience is created for all patients.  The ward has fully embraced the red to green/safer approach to care and has the support of members of the multidisciplinary team working alongside them. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated individual to join our nursing team.  This is a demanding role that requires commitment, excellent communication skills, and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.  The job is challenging and rewarding in equal measure.

Main duties of the job

Assist the registered nurse/practitioner to deliver a high standard of holistic patient care, ensuring that the patients` dignity and equality is maintained at all times.

Teamwork is our priority, priding ourselves on providing evidence based, holistic and individualised care for our patients and their families.

Our nurses are encouraged to continue to develop and progress to their full potential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
