Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated professional, seeking to make a difference in the NHS, to work as part of the Medicine Directorate in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd as Site Specialty Manager.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a key role in both the management of designated specialties and the operational day-to-day management of all administration processes that support the patient's pathway.
The role entails supporting the Lead Manager in managing the various specialties and services within the area of responsibility. The jobholder will work with multi-disciplinary teams and partner organisations to deliver the 'Referral To Treatment' (RTT) target, patient flow and performance agenda alongside quality and business planning.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Comprehensive understanding of performance target as outlined in Annual Quality framework
- Knowledge of Medical services and challenges faced by division

- Knowledge of information systems
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with multi disciplinary teams and across divisions and departments
- Experience of developing service plans and capital bids that reflect service needs
- Experience of budget management
- Experience of developing services and implementing change to meet performance targets
- Experience of preparing and presenting information to clinical staff to influence, change and inform decisions
- Experience of managing teams, undertaking recruitment, managing performance and sickness and disciplinary issues
- Experience of managing Admin & Clerical staff
Desirable criteria
- Experience of leading clinical teams to deliver change
- Experience of working with Medical teams
- Experience of participating in consultant job plan reviews
