The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable. 

 

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology Nursing Team at Glan Clwyd Hospital.  Although the post will be based at Glan Clwyd, there will be the opportunity to travel to Wrexham and Bangor to cover, should a need arise. 

The Radiology Nurse's role is extensive, supporting in CT, Ultrasound,  Nuclear Medicine and MRI but is mainly working along side Consultant Radiologists and Radiographers in Interventional Radiology, as scrub and circularity nurse.  It is important that we deliver safe, effective and efficient care to our patients who attend the Radiology Department.

Main duties of the job

There is no formal on-call, however, there may be occasions when lists run late or a nurse is required to assist with emergency cases, at a weekend if available. 

Previous experience in Radiology is desirable, or those with Theatre or Surgical experience, but nurses from any field of nursing, will be considered. It is advisable for any nurse wishing to apply for this position to arrange an informal visit to the Radiology Department. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
