Job overview

An Exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ward 11 team. Ward 11 is a busy 25 bedded ward that specialises in stroke and medical patients. We work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide quality, planned care for the patients. The successful candidates will work as part of a team of nurses responsible for providing, maintaining and co-ordinating a high standard of planned holistic care and nursing treatments, under the indirect supervision of the nurse in charge of the ward.

You will need to be flexible and dynamic in your approach in delivering care to patients.  The post holder needs to have good communication skills and be an effective team player.

Main duties of the job

The role involves assisting trained staff in delivering care to patients at their most vulnerable times, ensuring dignity and respect is maintained throughout. Assisting patients to meet their personal care needs, assisting with meals and drinks throughout the day, recording observations and completing bedside documentation. Health Care Support Workers are also required to carry out general cleaning in the clinical environment by preparing bed spaces and cleaning equipment. The post holder needs to have good communication skills and be an effective team player. Staff will be supported to complete mandatory training.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
