Job overview

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual to a Administrator position working FULL TIME, supporting mental health services for Older persons mental Health  community team in Darlington. 

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to support and maintain standard systems and processes set out by the Trust. The successful candidate will need to have excellent IT and organisational skills and have a good knowledge and understanding of information systems. The ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure to meet deadlines and demonstrate a flexible, motivated attitude to work will also be essential. Very good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels are required.

The post holder will have contact with service users and members of the public and have an important role in helping the service to run efficiently.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BTEC Diploma/Level Level 2 qualification in relevant field OR equivalent experience, OR willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification in Business and Administration.
  • Key skills/functional skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above/New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9) are an essential requirement to be fully competent in the role.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Data inputting experience.
  • Experience of general office duties.
  • Customer service experience.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Understanding of confidentiality and how to maintain this.
  • Knowledge of office systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of receiving visitors/telephone callers and taking accurate messages.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Trust systems e.g. cardea; IIC.
