Dental Operational Assistant- Exeter

Job overview
Operational Assistants will support the service by greeting patients and taking payments, over Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays. Shifts typically run 08:30 – 16:30, you would be required to cover shifts as part of a regular working patten over a 12-week rolling rota i.e. Saturday weeks 2 and 9 and Sunday weeks 6, 7 and 11. See rota pattern for more detail. There will also be an opportunity for you to pick up additional hours covering colleagues leave.
Main duties of the job
- Liaise with Control Centre if dentist or dental nurse fail to arrive/ are delayed for their shift.
- Monitor patient waiting times, liaising with clinicians and patients to inform of delays/ waiting time.
- Ensure prescription protocols are followed in line with Access Dental guidelines.
- Liaise with On call manager should incidents arise.
- Ensure DAC remains clean and tidy at all times.
