Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

 

Job overview

This post is fixed term / secondment for 10 months due to funding.

We are looking for a highly motivated, competent staff member with a relevant level of experience and education to join the East Neurodevelopmental Team . The team has a vacancy for a part time Non-Medical Prescriber to support the work with ADHD assessments on a Fixed Term basis until March 2025.

Main duties of the job

The team provides assessment and intervention for children and young people with / or suspected of having a Neurodevelopmental condition (Autism Spectrum Disorder / Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder etc). 

The successful candidate will need the appropriate training and qualifications in prescribing and have experience in working with neurodevelopmental conditions, and with children.

The candidate will be supported by the team and the current experienced non medical prescribers.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Qualified Nurse in Children’s, adult, Learning Disabilities or Mental health.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development at level 7 (Masters level) through formal qualifications or equivalent experience in an area of practice relevant to this post
  • Safeguarding Training
  • Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in prescribing ADHD medication
  • Knowledge of neurodevelopment conditions
