Job overview

An exciting opportunity for a Team Administrator has arisen within a busy HR environment. The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide full administrative support to the HR Managers within the Team. The  responsibilities of the role includes facilitating and arranging employee relations hearings. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as the necessity to maintain confidentiality, have the ability to work to tight deadlines, use your initiative and carry out a multitude of tasks with limited supervision.

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive, confidential administrative support service to the Operational HR team.

To be aware of work priorities and needs of self and managers to ensure all required deadlines are met.

To ensure continued professional development through accessing relevant training as agreed with line manager and the service requirements of the organisation.

Responsible for the provision of an administrative service to the HR team managers, ensuring that timely, accurate work is produced to deadline and work of a highly confidential, sensitive nature is handled with discretion, tact and compassion.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Delivering high quality patient care.

Successfully communicating with others, establish and maintain great working relationships and gain co-operation.

Effectively analysing information, identify problems, develop solutions and make recommendations/decisions.

Effective processing and management of information and the use of information systems.

Efficient and effective planning and organising of activities.

Developing and implementing policies and or services.

Managing finance and physical resources/assets e.g. equipment, fixtures and fittings, stationery etc.

Undertaking research, audits and governance, providing assurance to others.

Management of others, including planning and allocating work, training and development and management of the employment contract.

Managing Self and Level of Autonomy.

Applicants must ensure that prior to applying they have agreement from their current line manager that they can be released on a secondment basis. In the event that permanent funding is secured for this post the successful applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Secretarial qualification to Level 3 NVQ or willingness to achieve within defined equivalent demonstrable experiencetimescales, or
  • Hold ECDL (European Computer Driving License)/ITQ Level 2 or equivalent, or willing to undertake qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within an office environment
  • Considerable demonstrable secretarial experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within a Human Resources environment
