Cleaning Assistant for evenings

Department: ADMK Domestics 

Weekday post: Monday to Friday 16.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs

Band 2 -  £23,615 per annum, pro rata, with enhancements for unsocial hours.

We are looking for two Domestic staff to join the existing team to provide a high-quality cleaning service at Milton Keynes University hospital new Radiotherapy Centre. The Centre will bring the hospital’s cancer and radiotherapy services under one roof in a modern dedicated space.

You will keep the Radiotherapy Centre clean with general duties vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning the patient bed areas, sanitary fittings and emptying waste bins.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to carry out duties as instructed to the required standard, to ensure the hospital is a clean, safe and welcoming environment at all times.

 

Domestic staff are expected to have a flexible approach in respect of work areas and tasks to suit the needs of the hospital.

Domestic staff have a responsibility to ensure a safe place of work for themselves and other users.

General appearance and attitude to work are very important, as every member of the team is a direct reflection of the  Department

Comply with all relevant policies and procedures.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Floor Cleaning Duties

·         Suction clean & dust control sweeping

·         Damp and wet mopping

·         Spray cleaning & buffing

·         Mechanical floor cleaning/scrubbing

 

Deep Cleaning/Periodic Cleaning

In accordance with hospital policy & work instruction

 

 

Exit & Terminal Cleans

In accordance with hospital policy & work instruction

 

 

Other Duties

·         Curtain changes

·         Cleaning of cleaning equipment and signage

·         Laundry duties

·         Fault reporting in machinery and equipment

·         Accident reporting

  • Stock taking and ensure stock levels are sufficient to carry out work
