We are looking for a Band 6 Immunisation Coordinator to join the Sirona Community Vaccination Team (SCVT), working across community settings and staff bases in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

In this role, you will be instrumental in planning, promoting, and delivering catch-up immunisations for individuals with incomplete vaccination histories. You will also lead the delivery of tailored Influenza and COVID-19 immunisations for staff and inpatients, in line with NHS England directives.

The successful candidate will contribute to improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations and their communities, focusing on immunisation uptake and ensuring the adaptable delivery of immunisation services in community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of catch-up immunisations in community settings.
  • Lead the delivery of Influenza and COVID-19 immunisation programmes for staff and inpatients.
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community services to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of immunisation uptake and safety.
  • Provide education and support to staff and the wider community on immunisation.

The Sirona Community Vaccination Team is committed to enhancing public health in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe services to improve the health of vulnerable populations.

To act as a day-to-day lead for the team, providing daily support and line management for the SCVT Immunisation Team under the guidance of the Clinical Lead and Head of Specialist Services for Children.

To develop and provide information, training and support to the immunisation team, to ensure local and national outcomes related to immunisations are met.

This role supports the planning and delivery of a high quality and efficient Immunisation programme by meeting the needs of all eligible cohorts across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
