Come & join the Redcar and Cleveland Community Hub team.  We are looking for  experienced Mental Health Practitioners (Fixed term - 12 months) to join our journey to change and improve the local community's experience with mental health services, adopting a "no wrong door approach",

We encourage discussions and for staff to come along to visit our bases and discuss opportunities and get to know the MDT.  Within this role we will support you to expand on your knowledge and expertise with opportunity to develop special interests such as substance misuse and psychological interventions.

 The Community Hub team offers assessments, formulations and support with short term interventions in collaboration with partner agencies and voluntary partners.

You will be a valued member of the team and will develop excellent working relationships with our partners and stakeholders. This innovative approach will provide opportunities for growth in your practice and professional development.

You can expect regular supervision and support from a very cohesive and supportive leadership team. The service currently operates Monday-Friday 9-5pm, flexibility and part-time or job share can be considered. 

Main duties of the job

As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with mental health issues, with an emphasis on psychologically informed brief interventions. 

You will be willing to work collaboratively with service users of varying ages and differing needs as well as their carers and families .

You will need to have significant experience of working with people with mental ill health in a care setting, delivering clinical interventions specific to care pathways.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are required to have the ability and experience to manage complex cases in partnership with other agencies . In addition you will further develop skills in psychological therapies, psychosocial interventions and care management.

You will encourage ongoing engagement from all staff utilising effective leadership skills. You are required to use your own initiative and make decisions independently for this post.

There is an expectation of commitment to the development of high quality care, and to engage in quality improvement activities. You will be supported with regular management and clinical supervision.

If the contract type on the vacancy states 'Fixed Term' this would mean the vacancy is being advertised to address a temporary need for the duration stipulated on the advert, however, in the event that permanent funding is secured for the post the successful applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis.

Trust Welcome Day

Here at Tees, Esk and Wear Valley Foundation NHS Trust we want you to have a positive experience when you start your new role with us. To ensure you have great welcome, for all new starters joining the Trust, we offer two start dates per month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of that Month.

On your start date, you will be invited to our in person Trust Welcome Day at our Flatts Lane Centre, Middlesborough. For certain clinical roles, your Welcome Day could then be followed by up to 9 days face to face training.
