Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a receptionist in the Hafod Community Mental Health Team. 

The purpose of this post is to provide an efficient and comprehensive administration and reception service for the service. 

The post holder will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team and support in offering seamless care for the population of North Wales.

Main duties of the job

To provide comprehensive reception and clerical support for the Mental Health Service.  Demonstrating a courteous, professional and sensitive manner at all times the post-holder is expected to prioritise, manage his/her time and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.

To be part of a cohesive and integrated admin function of the service.  By the nature of the duties, the post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical / clinical staff and other service users, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of education - GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent
  • RSA / OCR II or equivalent qualification or experience
  • NVQ Level 2 Customer Service / Business Administration, or equivalent knowledge and experience, or willing to work towards
Desirable criteria
  • AMSPAR qualification or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Knowledge of a range of administrative processes

  • Welsh speaking
