We are looking for a Head of Health Equity and Inclusion to join our organisation. You will be an exceptional leader with passion, energy and the experience to support our strategic ambitions and help continue to develop a culture of belonging, equity and cultural improvement.
Reporting directly to the Specialty Service Manager for the Health Equity and Inclusion service, we are seeking someone who has the ability to effectively network and manage stakeholders as well as providing exceptional leadership as we move to embed the new service. You will be a subject matter expert in equity, diversity and inclusion, but as a key member of our senior management team, also have strong leadership and engagement skills.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to provide inspiring and innovative leadership that supports the implementation and development of high quality integrated person-centred care around health inclusion and health inequalities.
The role will require the post-holder to provide overall strategic management, business planning and development of the services, in conjunction with the Head of Specialist and Advisory Services and Associate Director for Children’s Services as well as the Associate Locality Directors. There will be close working relationships with the Head of Experience and Engagement and the Head of Personalised Care.
The role will ensure the delivery of identified benefits and KPIs as set out in our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
Integral to the role is representing Sirona by working in partnership with other BNSSG providers including the VCSE sector and the Locality Partnerships. There is a requirement to attend a significant number of system wide meetings and the occasional requirement to deputise for the Head of Specialist Services.

Essential criteria
- Previous experience working in a Health and Social Care Community setting and/or other relevant multi- disciplinary environment of a similar size and complexity.
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the transformation agenda and the legislative, regulatory and performance management framework for health and social care.
- Extensive experience of managerial and leadership practices and procedures within discipline a similar organisation.
- Experience in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams and at multi-site locations.
Desirable criteria
- Lived experience of health exclusion
- Experience of large-scale service reviews.
- • Expert knowledge of various Health Care fields and a variety of disciplines including AHP’s and nurses
