An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our paediatric dietetic team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic registered dietitian with excellent communication and team working skills. You will join our small, but friendly team.
Support, training and development opportunities will be provided. There will be opportunities to gain experience in specialist areas of paediatrics such as Cystic Fibrosis, Gastroenterology, Food allergy and Oncology.
You will be based at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, joining a friendly and supportive team. There are excellent working relationships with the supportive paediatric consultants; the dietitian is very much an integral part of the paediatric MDT.
Main duties of the job
To provide a specialist clinical dietetic service to a caseload of paediatric patients to the ward and in outpatient clinics at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration
- Degree in Dietetics
Desirable criteria
- Post registration paediatric training/ paediatric modules
- Member of the BDA
Experience
Essential criteria
- Examples of experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of experience working in both the inpatient and outpatient setting
- Supervision of junior staff and/or students
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing paediatric patients
- Evidence of experience of dietetic in inpatient work within the NHS
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Evidence of general dietetics knowledge
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex medical and nutritional information
- Evidence of effective working within an MDT
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of dietetic management of paediatrics in Cystic Fibrosis, Gastroenterology, Food allergy and/or oncology.
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
