We are looking for a senior community midwife to ensure efficient management and coordination of a community midwifery team. You will ensure that there is effective interface with the hospital and community teams as well as external agencies such as GP’s, health visitors, social services etc.

Main duties of the job

To ensure efficient management and coordination of a community midwifery team. You will ensure that there is effective interface with the hospital and community teams as well as external agencies such as GP’s, health visitors, social services etc. You will also have knowledge of antenatal and neonatal screening in order that you can support the antenatal and neonatal screening manager from a community perspective. You will be an expert midwifery practitioner who will provide support and advice to colleagues.

You should have excellent knowledge of child and adult safeguarding to ensure that our service users achieve the best outcomes for their family.

You will be key in the delivery of the national drivers (Saving Babies Lives version 3, MIS)  You will have the ability to communicate and drive innovative ways forward to ensure equality of care for our diverse and vulnerable community.

The position is for between 30 - 37.5 hours a week, and you must work over 4 days for visibility. You must be a car driver with a car that you can use for work purposes.
