Salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, pro rata (Actual £17,982 - £21,889.80)
This post attracts a 'Golden Hello' payment of £5,000* applicable to new applicants taking a substantive post. £2,500 will be payable after the first month of employment and £2,500 will be paid after six months** (subject to CDS policy conditions).

Join Our Team as an Advanced Clinical Dental Nurse
Are you a skilled and compassionate dental nurse looking to make a significant impact in the lives of patients with diverse needs? Community Dental Services CIC, an award-winning, employee-owned social enterprise, is looking for a dedicated Advanced Clinical Dental Nurse to join our mobile dental team. We deliver high-quality, specialist dental services across East and Central England, focusing on the most deprived areas within the SNEE ICB (Integrated Care Board) Suffolk boundary.
Main duties of the job
About the Role:
- Provide clinical support during procedures, including for undergraduates, dental nurse, and dental hygiene/therapy students.
- Conduct dental nurse-led clinics, offering treatments within your extended scope of practice, including the application of topical fluoride varnish, taking intra and extra oral radiographs, and performing other advanced dental nurse procedures.
- Assist with dental conscious sedation techniques & manage referrals efficiently.
- Deliver clinical training & assessment of students and dental nurses, contributing to their ongoing professional development.
- Engage in quality initiatives, audits, & clinical governance projects.
- Lead dental nurse triage sessions & organize the fluoride varnish programme.
- Work with children, young people, & vulnerable adults, ensuring seamless care.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals & manage urgent cases with appropriate triage.
Requirements:
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience)
- GDC Registered
- NEBDN Certificate in Special Care Dental Nursing
- NEBDN Certificate (or equivalent) in Topical Fluoride Application,
- NEBDN Certificate (or equivalent) Oral Health Instruction,
- Strong initiative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and competent keyboard skills. Knowledge of dental software is a plus (training provided).
