We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Data and Quality Improvement working in the Talking Therapies team across Berkshire. You will already be working as an enthusiastic and experienced Data & QI Manager, who has a can-do attitude, is innovative and has great people skills. You will have leadership experience and be able to demonstrate continuous improvement in the work that you do. Showing effective management skills, you will take responsibility for the management members of the Business Support Team in Talking Therapies. 

Working closely with the Operational and Performance Manager the post holder will lead and manage various operational and business requirements of Talking Therapies Berkshire.   The role will lead on key projects and innovations for the business support team. They will lead and support with service improvement projects, updating care pathways, managing admin budgets and supporting service managers with capacity and demand planning

Main duties of the job

·       Management and leadership of members of the Business Support Team

·       Support service managers withs capacity and demand planning

·       Ensure that Talking Therapies sites run effectively by having the right resources, equipment and operational support

·       Working alongside the Operational and Performance Manager and to deputise as and when required

·       Developing and improving non-clinical processes and systems to support teams across the service work smoothly and efficiently

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

2.       Experience of leading and managing large non-clinical teams

Education/Qualifications/Training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or relevant experience
  • Prince2 or relevant project management experience
  • Yellow belt
Desirable criteria
  • Green belt

  • Evidence of commitment to ongoing continuous professional development

Previous Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in information reporting
  • Information management experience
  • Managing and engaging with a variety of staff including clinical and operational management staff.
  • Providing and receiving highly complex, highly sensitive or highly contentious information about a patient pathway or service on a routine basis.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of routinely writing/using SQL queries for analysis
  • NHS Provider or Commissioning experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the use of MS Office applications, with excellent Excel or equivalent experience
  • A working knowledge of NHS Data Standards
  • In-depth understanding of the Talking Therapies programme including current key policies and priorities and system reform.
  • Experience of business intelligence tool providing effective visualisation
  • Experience of exercising judgment to solve operational problems where the answers are not apparent
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
