Patient Pathway Manager for Integrated Medicine A (Audiology, Renal and Sexual Health)

To  support the Integrated Medicine A Directorate  Management Team (Clinical Director, Matron and Directorate Manager) in the efficient and effective operational management of your respective service/s in order to deliver continually improving, high quality patient care.

The Manager will provide senior support and expert knowledge to the team of patient pathway coordinators and associated roles within the admin team.

The Patient Pathway Manager has delegated responsibilities for a range of operational activities, working autonomously using initiative and their specialist knowledge and experience of the service to make decisions.

Main duties of the job

The post holder leads the delivery of the daily operational business of the designated service area as well as contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans.

The Manager will oversee all administrative and clerical processes to enable a high quality, effective, patient focused service to be delivered. The post holder will ensure that standard operating procedures are followed, ensuring achievement of all performance targets. The Manager will be responsible for providing regular updates on performance and the escalation of issues which hinder the delivery of a smooth patient pathway to the Service  manager / Directorate Manager.

  • Educated to degree or equivalent experience/qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Management qualification or business qualification or equivalent experience

Previous Experience e.g. paid and unpaid relevant to the post.

  • Supervisory experience of administrative staff
  • Understanding of patient priorities and performance targets
  • Understanding of Primary Care, GP and community services
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of implementing change
  • Experience of using full range of IT/Patient data systems

  • Advanced use of EPR with the ability to interrogate the system
