The appointee will join the team of 25 Radiologists to provide care to this growing population of patients, and raise departmental profiles through teaching and education. Work is based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital with satellite cover provided at West Berkshire Community Hospital. The appointee will work alongside 19  Diagnostic  Radiologists to support General Radiology services across all modalities and share responsibility for the clinical MDTs.

Scanners.  The CT department is equipped with 4 new CT scanners, 3 x Aquillion Prime and a Aquillion Prism.  A second static Aquillion Prime is installed at WBCH.  Our ultrasound suite has 8 Hitatchi Ascendus machines and a Phillips Epiq 7 for vascular and interventional use.  We also have two interventional rooms, a fluoroscopy suite, a breast screening centre, a dedicated radiology nursing unit and a nuclear medicine department. We are planning to expand our MRI capacity with the addition of two new scanners to be based at WBCH.
