Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work in education in the NHS. The job is based in the Royal Berkshire Simulation Centre, within the hospital, as a part-time Simulation Technical Officer.
We are looking for someone with buckets of enthusiasm and excellent team working skills. We deliver a range of courses to teach doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff using life-like mannikins that can breathe and other innovative equipment.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant would be trained in the technical aspects of the job. The postholder would be responsible for organising and maintaining both equipment and stock for the Simulation Centre. Good organisational skills are essential. A background in either administration or using multimedia equipment would be advantageous.
This role is part-time and forms a job share. The days required are Wednesday to Friday for a total of 22.5 hours per week. A certain amount of flexibility is required around working hours to cover service needs but an average day would be from 8 am until 4 pm.

- Excellent organisational and administrative skills evidenced by previous experience
- Competent in the use of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Teams

- Qualified to set up High Fidelity manikins and troubleshoot if there is a problem
- Experience of appropriately dealing with confidential and sensitive information
