Job overview

Interviews 16th and 17th July

Flexible working hours/ part time or full time / free staff parking / no weekend working / Supported in house and external training opportunities

Our Therapy Assistants are highly valued members of our clinical team who help us to deliver excellent care and rehabilitation to an extremely varied cohort of patients. We are proud to offer this opportunity to join our innovative and exciting Therapy Team of Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Assistants and Administrators.

There are options to be based at Upton Hospital in Slough, or between Upton and Foundation House in Dedworth. This job would be particularly well suited to applicants with some experience in delivering massage therapies and with a background in sport or exercise. However, we can provide training and mentoring to upskill applicants. More than anything else we are looking for positive and caring individuals who will find satisfaction in working hard to deliver a great service for our patients.

Main duties of the job

We have two roles, and can discuss full time and part-time positions – with a minimum of three days per week. The role is based within the MSK outpatient department. Clinically, assistants are utilised in providing guided treatment session for patients. This may involve delivering exercise sessions, hands on therapies such as massage, electrotherapy such as Ultrasound, or group-based exercise classes. Training is provided in any of the modalities used.

Our assistants also help with the maintenance of the department and equipment, fulfilling cleaning schedules and managing stock.

There is an administrative element to the job too. We are all required to document any patient contact and our assistants can be involved with audits, service planning, and on occasion supporting the reception team.
