We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic person into our Physiotherapy inpatient team! The post holder will be an integral member of our multi professional inpatient Community on Donnington and Highclere Wards in West Berkshire Community Hospital. Our inpatient wards provide high quality care and rehabilitation to adults across the west of Berkshire with a wide range of complex healthcare needs.   

The post holder will have excellent communication skills, is well organised and works well within a team. It is essential that the successful candidate understands the role of a Physiotherapist within rehabilitation and has experience working within a health or care setting  

 There is a strong professional leadership structure within our service, that is committed to providing support through supervision, actively encourages personal and professional development and is committed to excellent patient care and service improvement.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To carry own caseload of patients with simple predictable conditions as delegated by the Physiotherapist. 

  • To carry out Physiotherapy interventions including supervising of exercises and therapeutic handling. 

  • To assist in the treatment of patients when more than one person is required. 

  • To be able to motivate and persuade patients through effective and sensitive communication skills, using verbal and nonverbal skills where there are barriers to communication. 

  • To assist in the personal care of patients where necessary, including dressing and toileting participating in a functional approach to rehabilitation. 

  • To undertake appropriate administrative duties. 

  • To ensure equipment stock levels are maintained, and the gym and other ward areas are kept clean and tidy in line with infection and prevention control policies and guidelines. 

  • To work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary inpatient team.
