0.8wte   -    30 hours (FRIDAY MORNING WORKING ESSENTIAL).  

Ideal working pattern would be 8am-5am over 3days and 8.15-12.45pm on a Friday.  

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the expanding, innovative administration team for the IPASS (Integrated Pain and Spinal Service), BLIS (Berkshire Long Covid Service) & MSK CSS (Musculoskeletal Community Specialist Services).   The post is on a permanent band 3 contract, based at our Adlam Villas clinic (Newbury). We are looking for someone with a warm personality, who is approachable, compassionate, and empathetic, with great team and people skills to join our team.   

The role of an IPASS/BLIS & MSK CSS Receptionist / Administrator is one which gives continuous support to the clinical staff and patients. Good, effective teamwork and the ability to work collaboratively is a vital part of what encompasses these community services.   

The team of administration officers are led and supported by an Administration Manager and Administration Lead Officers. The team is headed by Service Managers and includes the following healthcare professionals: Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, Clinical / Counselling Psychologists, Medical Consultants and Occupational Therapists.   

Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible to manning reception and welcoming patients and visitors on site.  

  • To take shared responsibility for opening / closing and securing the building.  

  • To use electronic patient booking systems, including E-Referrals and RIO to help facilitate an efficient referral and booking process 

  • To use TPRO, our electronic system used for clinic letter processes  

  • To be an accessible and central point of contact for service users, including patients and GP’s

  • Take responsibility for assigned caseload / task management  

  • Demonstrate clear and concise methods of communication as you will be dealing with a variety of referral and patient related queries.
