An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy service at BCHC. 

You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, working to enhance the quality of life for adults with neurological conditions.

This role demands exceptional communication abilities, a collaborative mindset, and the capacity to thrive under reasonable pressure while working cohesively alongside fellow team members. Functioning with a high degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for independently managing your caseload.

Substantial experience in assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for individuals with complex neurological conditions is essential. You should possess a strong willingness to further develop these specialized skills continuously.

Effective networking skills and a comprehensive understanding of current legislation and other relevant factors influencing change within the NHS are paramount. Our organization is committed to supporting your professional growth and fostering your expertise within the service.

Applicants will need to be able to travel independently between patient appointments citywide.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

Provide a specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to adult patients in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge.

Manage  a complex and diverse caseload independently,  related to communication and eating and drinking needs.

Transfer individual patients’ ongoing care to other agencies as appropriate and ensure that the service provided is conducted in a professional, efficient and effective way.

Be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers, and external agencies who may require advice and support and guidance in the management of a range of Neurological conditions.
