An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a motivated individual to work with a Acute Ward at Tamarind Centre

The post is within the Tamarind Centre, supporting service users at different stages in there journey in secure care services. This will include providing therapeutic activities on a daily basis. We are looking for those who are innovative and can think outside the box when it comes to working with service users who can present with complex needs and behaviours that can be challenging.

You will be responsible for organising a timetable of activity for groups and individuals on the ward, motivating other to participate and engage promoting inclusion and communication.

We are looking for an activity worker to work flexibly out of hours to ensure patients remain active across seven days. You do not necessarily need to have clinical experience but you do need to be able to lead a varied activity programme tailored to the needs of our service users, including physical activity and promoting a healthy lifestyle. There are excellent hospital facilities available for use to help facilitate your role as an activity worker.
