Job overview

The vacancy is for a forensic social worker with AMHP status (Band 7).

  • Participation on Birmingham City Council AMHP rota (one day month) is required.
  • Participation on forensic service on call rota outside of normal working hours will be required.

You will have knowledge of Mental Health Social Work and the legal framework of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), Criminal Justice and safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.

You will have regular supervision and opportunities for professional development.

Candidates should have the ability to uphold anti-discriminatory social work practice and maintain clear boundaries in clinical and professional relationships.
