Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide a high quality administrative support function .

This post is a 12 month fixed term contract. 

Working as a team player, you will need to be highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic with excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skills. A good understanding of ICT and working with Microsoft packages is essential for this role.  

This comprehensive administrative support function includes:

  • Act as the focal point of contact and be responsible for dissemination of information, messages and dealing with telephone enquiries for the team.
  • Experience of producing and manipulating data for written reports
  • Accurate data entry into the ICT systems.
  • Maintenance of shared email boxes.
  • Undertaking action notes for team and formal minute taking for other key meetings.
  • Other administrative duties as required.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSE passes at grade ‘C’ or above
  • NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent experience in an administrator role.
  • Significant relevant experience in an administrator role
Desirable criteria
  • Good working knowledge of ICT

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Highly Proficient in using Microsoft packages; Word, Excel and sending and receiving e-mails
  • Experience of minute taking and providing administrative support to meetings.
  • Understanding of Data Protection, Information Governance and able to observe confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience of producing and manipulating data for written reports
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in the NHS
  • Previous experience of using Sharepoint.
  • Aptitude for information technology.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Able to plan and manage own work ensuring timelines are met.
  • Good communication skills. Competent in accurate written communication.
