An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a member of our Education team in The People and Education Directorate. The postholder will effectively and efficiently manage the administration of a range of courses working within the wider Education Reporting Team to ensure delivery of high quality learning programmes. Duties will include administrative support to ensure that course attendance is updated accurately and in a timely manner and that queries are actioned and resolved efficiently. The postholder will be supporting the organisation to demonstrate compliance with standards that are essential Clinical education. It is essential that the postholder possesses IT skills, is able to use a range of MS office packages and hold an Apprenticeship Qualification at Level 3. It is also essential that the postholder has experience working as part of a team, has excellent communication and customer service skills. Main duties of the job
As an integral part of the Education and Learning Reporting team, you will have responsibility for the administration of a range of courses in your portfolio. You will be required to undertake a range of administration duties which will include setting up new courses, updating existing course setup, managing course enquiries or those relating to the wider Education Reporting Team provision, liaising with the wider team where appropriate to ensure a timely and accurate response to customers.
You will be responsible for ensuring that attendance for courses is updated accurately and in a timely manner to the OLM system and that any queries are actioned and resolved. You will be required to check and respond to any emails received in the Education Reporting Inbox. You will be required to report any risks or concerns to the Admin Supervisor in relation to any aspect of course administration relating to courses in your portfolio e.g. issues with the organisation of resources or room booking issues.
In order to support the Admin Supervisor, you will be required to generate and/or run reports using appropriate information systems e.g. OLM, seeking advice and guidance from the Admin Supervisor where appropriate.

Person specification
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- IT qualification which demonstrates an ability to use all Microsoft Word packages.
- Previous Experience of working in Admin Environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Accuracy with in-putting of data
- Ability to prioritise own workload using initiative
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of ESR training record system
- Experience in working in the NHS
- PowerPoint and/or Access data base
