A vacancy has arisen for an admin support secretary in the Endocrinology Department at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The post holder will play an important role providing support to Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Dieticians and Medical Secretaries within this busy department.
Main duties of the job
Candidates will be self-motivated and possess or be working towards an RSA II qualification (or equivalent) or an AMSPAR certificate or comparable admin/medical secretarial experience. You will enjoy working within a multi-disciplinary team and have the ability to relate to children, parents and members of the public. This will be complemented by excellent organisational and communication skills.

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an administrative role Good standard of secondary education including GCE/GCSE English or equivalent

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
