Clinical / Forensic Psychologist Preceptorship 7-8a

Come and join a specialist and highly experienced team of psychologists and assistants working as part of an effective, enthusiastic and dynamic multidisciplinary team in our newly reconfigured Regional Inpatient CAMHS Hospital for young people age 12-17 years old.  Parkview is situated between Kings Heath and Moseley, in South Birmingham.   We have a Specialist Eating Disorders and general adolescent units. You will work closely with family therapists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, medics and nursing teams in a fast paced environment. 

We welcome applications from Clinical and Forensic Psychologists.  The post could either be appointed as a band 7 preceptorship working towards an 8a position, or at an 8a depending upon skills and experience. Responsibilities will be adjusted accordingly. These skills are nurtured and developed from the moment you join the team, through training and supervision of individual work and service development projects.  We are innovative and creative and we are looking for others who would like to join the team.

Join us and contribute to the development of our trauma-informed, inclusive, recovery focused environment.  Deliver post-incident team reflections, reflective practice and supervision and ward learning forums. Deliver evidence based treatment, including DBT, CBT, EMDR, FBT, MFT, NVR,  individually, in groups and via staff training.  Contribute to evaluation of outcomes with our service users and be part of making ambitious service changes in line with national and regional drivers.
