Job overview
We are excited to promote a new role, working for a forward thinking Human Resources Team, adopting the Business Partner model to drive our people agenda.
We're seeking a positive, innovative and experienced HR professional, capable of managing and advising through large complex organisational change.
The chosen candidate will manage the performance of an HR Advisory Team. We're looking for someone who can improve the capability of this service and promote positive business and people outcomes. This will involve working in collaboration with internal and external partners so strong interpersonal communication skills will be required.
There may be some requirement for the incumbent of this role to advise on complicated casework. We are also seeking someone who can deliver on core projects.
Main duties of the job
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for the operational HR management of the Trust and to play a strategic role, adding value and contributing towards the delivery of the organisations strategic objectives.
With operational oversight of the HR Advisory Team, the post holder will work with the HR and OD Directorate to create a high performing and inclusive culture with continuous improvement as our golden thread.
Having a key focus on managerial development, the post holder will provide coaching support around key workforce issues that help the Trust towards positive outcomes for staff.

Essential criteria
- Level 7 CIPD or equivalent
- Masters degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
- Chartered CIPD
- Formal Leadership Training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant senior HR Management and/or HR Business Partnering experience
- Experience of managing complex employee relations issues.
- Experience of managing complex employee relations issues and working in partnership with trade unions
- Experience of supporting a division/ department/ directorate to achieve business aims.
- Experience of managing large complex change programmes to success
- Experience of successfully leading, developing and engaging a team.
- Experience of negotiating and consulting with staff and staff side representatives
Desirable criteria
- Experience of supporting in MHPS casework
- Experience of HR Management or Business Partnering in an Acute NHS provider
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of the challenges of an NHS provider
