Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Estates and Facilities Department as a Band 3 Facilities Supervisor within the Community.

The post holder must have general standard of education to GCSE Level including Maths and English and hold or working towards Institute of Leadership and Management qualification Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Facilities Management or equivalent supervisory experience.

The post holder will be directly line manages the receptionist team and will be the first point of contact for all issues or queries regarding the community premises.

The post holder will be based at Castle Vale Primary Care Centre and will be required to travel across the various Trust sites independently where our Receptionist staff are based and cover reception when/if required for example to cover annual leave and sickness.

 

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to manage the daily function of the reception service as well as provide support to management teams as and when required.

Duties will include liaising closely with clinical services and contractors with regards to any facilities issues.  This interesting and varied role requires the ability to work well on your own initiative whilst being committed to teamwork. This position also requires good communication skills and the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • General Standard of Education to GCSE Level including English and Maths
  • Hold or working towards Institute of Leadership and Management qualification Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Facilities Management or equivalent supervisory experience
  • Relevant experience of working in a reception role
  • Relevant experience in supervising facilities services in a healthcare environment
  • Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information at site level
  • Experience of developing good relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience in the implementation and on-going supervision of facilities related to risk management policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills
  • Able to deliver operationally, to multi task and work under pressure meeting consistently demanding deadlines
  • Able to develop highly effective working partnerships and alliances with staff at all levels e.g. working with clinical teams
