We are looking for a friendly team member who is able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills along with the ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload and to work using your own initiative. This role includes patient care, IT and portering duties. Previous experience of dealing with the general public is essential. An understanding and knowledge of computer systems/keyboard skills is essential.
This role will involve contributing to shift patterns covering the 7 day service (including bank holidays). Flexibility in working patterns is required and the ability to multi-task. This role will be on a rotational shift basis with no fixed days. All shifts are long days or half long days.
The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team of clerical and clinical staff who work together to provide a seamless pathway for patients having diagnostic and interventional treatment.
This role involves rotation between the main acute hospital and Community Diagnostic Centres within the area.
Main duties of the job
This is a varied role, assisting specialist teams within the imaging department.
The role will be supporting staff within the X-ray, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Obs and Gynae, CT and MRI, you will be involved in the care of the patient within Imaging.
You will be a valuable team member, keeping the work environment clean and tidy in line with infection control guidelines, assisting the clinical teams in providing the highest quality service and excellent patient care; this will include escorting patients, carrying out routine patient care and arranging appointments for examinations. You will be responsible for maintaining stock .
