Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of an established team within the Dermatology department. As a member of our management team, you will manage our fast track and waiting list teams, taking responsibility for the administrative staff Health Roster system.
Experience of delivering excellent patient centered, ideally gained in a fast paced and dynamic healthcare setting, is highly valued in this role and the post holder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding time management skills when managing their own and their teams workloads.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective working relationship development with clinical and non-clinical colleagues in the department and across the Trust, and to ensure delivery of efficient services to our patients.
Main duties of the job
• To support Deputy Specialty Manager to manage RTT and Cancer performance and levels, including validation of pathways.
• To keep track of and manage the Cancer PTL, attending the Trust PTL meetings to provide updates, escalating where required.
•To act as point of contact for the senior management team in reference to the day to day management of the admin and clerical teams in the patch.
• Attend and participate in various meetings within the department, Division and Trust.
• To assist the Specialty Manager in the achievement of all relevant performance targets, utilising cross divisional resources where necessary.
• Support the Deputy Specialty Manager in responding to investigations and complaints
• To line manage and provide day to day supervision for administrative and clerical staff in the Dermatology department.

- Previous relevant experience in a healthcare setting
