Job overview

The Trust currently have the following vacancy within the Children and Young Peoples Department

We are looking for an Admin Support Assistant for a fixed term contract of 12months supporting the Children's Services, Health Visiting admin team. 

We provide a range of services to children and young people throughout Buckinghamshire, such as health visiting, school nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and family nurse partnership.

Main duties of the job

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

·       To provide administrative support such as sending out communications to patients.

·       Support the team with printing, laminating, and building resources.

·       To maintain clinical records by taking part in the discharge process of the children’s services.

·       To communicate with the clients via text, email, letters and via telephone calls where required.

·       Provide reception cover where requested by management team.

·       To support the booking team where required.

·       To deal with concerns and complaints appropriately, escalating to your Line Manager where required.

·       Work closely with and maintain excellent communication channels with the clinical team.

  • Literate and Numerate
  • Computer Literate

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria
  • Relevant administration experience within an office environment.
  • Experience maintaining a database/booking system
Desirable criteria
  • NHS experience

SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE

Essential criteria
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills, to enable liaison with multi-disciplinary team, patients and carers.
  • Aware of Confidentiality code of practice and Data Protection Act 2018 in relation to patients and staff
  • Able to work under pressure and deal with conflict situations to an amicable conclusion.
  • Flexible working attitude
  • Ensure punctuality and reliability of self to ensure good relationship within team environment
  • Experience of working as a member of a team
