Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Staff nurse in the Bucks Neuro Rehabilitation Unit in Amersham Hospital. We are a 24/7, 17-bedded unit for 18 year and older patients who require neuro rehabilitation in the community.  Additionally, we have a robust Multidisciplinary team that that a holistic approach in their intervention in order to minimise failed discharge back to the community.

What will we give you? Once in post you will be on the road to develop and enhance your skills. We offer each individual an induction in our team with a period of supernumerary, which is usually up to 2 weeks. You will also attend the Trust Induction Programme; this encompasses all facets of Buckinghamshire Health NHS Trust, and the lived experience of what you will do, giving you an insight in the organisation.

Main duties of the job

Post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team in order to ensure care is appropriate, customer specific and delivered in a timely manner. The post holder will be able to demonstrate their professional skills and competence in care planning/care delivery, co-ordination, medicines management, leadership.

The post holder will act as shift lead of the nursing team on the ward in support of the Ward Manager taking first line management responsibility for the environment and the staff working with them.
