We provide care to over half a million patients every year in our hospitals, community settings and in people’s own homes. As the Professional Lead for Safeguarding, you will provide leadership, management and expertise within this specialist field, encompassing Adults and Children's Services in both Acute and Community settings.

As the successful post-holder, you will continually assess the training and development needs relating to safeguarding for the whole organisation, and plan with the education team and colleagues in the Local Authority on how to deliver the training required. You will work with the whole organisation to enable compliance with statutory training requirements adjusting to legal changes as required.
In addition, you will lead on the monitoring and reporting on safeguarding performance indicators. You will prepare reports for the Safeguarding Committee and Quality committee. You will also brief the Executive Team on organisational responsibilities in safeguarding writing quarterly and annual board reports to provide assurance.
The successful post-holder will have extensive experience within a senior Safeguarding role within a health or social care setting. You will need current registration with NMC/HCPC or Social Work England/Wales/Scotland to apply for this position.
