CAMEO operates across our Foundation Trust via two established bases in Cambridge and Peterborough.
This post will be located in the dynamic city of Cambridge . We are seeking to recruit dynamic and enthusiastic Band 5 Preceptorship /Band 6 Care Coordinators: Nurses, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists. The practitioner will provide specialist advice, assess, plan and implement care to a designated caseload whilst working at all times to promote the
safety and well-being of service users and their families/carers.
The individual must be compassionate, committed and have good working knowledge of psychosis. If you are passionate about the values that

The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner and responsible for a defined caseload of service users.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure and with a desire for innovation.
We are able to support agile working for staff, using all appropriate I.T equipment and support.
• To undertake assessments of individuals and their families in the designated care group with complex health presentations, including
those service users presenting with higher levels of risk
• They will work alongside the service user to develop their care plan along the recovery principles.
• To offer specialist assessment and advice where required.
• To assess, manage and regularly review on going risks as identified during the assessment, ensuring that this is done in collaboration
with the service user and carers.
• To ensure that clinical practice is evidence based and consistent with relevant NICE guidelines and Trust policies and procedures.
• To provide supervision of junior staff and trainees where appropriate (mentorship and preceptorship qualifications)
• To act within the relevant Code of Conduct dependent on your Registration Body.

Education and Qualifications
Meini prawf hanfodol
- Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) • Completion of nurse training program
- NMC registration.

- Evidence of continued training and professional development
Experience

- Willingness to undertake Preceptorship program (for newly qualified RMN)
- Demonstrate knowledge of working with people experiencing psychosis
- Demonstrate knowledge of working with service users experiencing a crisis related to their mental health.

- Experience of providing a range of clinical interventions to people in the designated care group with a variety of health problems
- Experience of conducting clinical assessments including risk assessments
- Experience and knowledge of dual diagnosis/substance misuse
- Lived experience of mental health
Skills & Abilities

- Skills in undertaking clinical assessments / baseline mental health assessment
- Skills in risk assessment and management
- Skills in crisis management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skills in working with others within a multi-disciplinary team under supervision
- Good organisational skills
Knowledge and Understanding

- Knowledge of and interest in Early Intervention Service research and the impact psychosis can have on people’s lives.
- Knowledge of CPA, Community Care Act, Carers Act, Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation as application to practice. (A/I)
